The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation is a family foundation that was established in 2001 and is located in Bonham, Texas.  The foundation has a broad range of philanthropic interests.  It is a non-profit organization whose goals are to provide a positive force in strengthing the education of children, youth, adults and families, and to contribute to Christian ministries, charitable, and childrens health organizations.

The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation scholarship program seeks to identify and support students who combine academic promise with character and a commitment to their community. It is interested in assisting individuals to develop their talents, broaden their horizons, and fulfill their dreams through educational success.  At least 80% of the scholarships will be awarded  to students from Fannin County.

PURPOSE           The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goals are to provide a positive force in strengthening the education of children, youth, adults and families, and to contribute to religious, charitable, literary, educational, and the prevention of cruelty to children or animals organizations, as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and supporting among other things, the environment, health, science, and the arts.

ACTIVITIES    Programs include scholarships for all levels of post-secondary education available to students with a 2.0 GPA and above.  Financial assistance will be available to individuals entering skills and technical training instututions as well.

POLICIES          The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation provides its services on a competitive basis without regard for race, creed, color or sex.  Applications are available in the Foundation's office and on this website.  Awards are granted semi-annually.  No funds go directly to the students, but to the colleges of their choice and placed in an account in the business office to pay tuition, books, fees, supplies, room and board.  If the student is unable to use all of the money, the college must return the remainder to the foundation.  Recipients must re-apply for a grant each semester they attend classes.
